Last summer, as their Oxfordshire wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing the beautiful wedding of Taysha and Neil at the lovely Sudbury House Hotel. A couple whose love for each other and their five children radiated throughout the day. Despite the sweltering heat and muggy conditions, their wedding was filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Sudbury House Hotel Wedding Photography - A Family Celebration


Family is at the heart of Taysha and Neil's relationship, and it was evident in every aspect of their wedding. With five kids in tow, the couple made sure to include their little ones in the bridal party. The sight of children dressed in adorable outfits, running around, and having fun added a unique charm to the day. Their presence was a constant reminder of the love that binds this family together.

When the Heavens Opened (But Nobody Minded)


The day started with plans for an outdoor ceremony, which promised to be a picturesque setting for Taysha and Neil’s vows. However, as the ceremony time approached, the weather took an unexpected turn. Just moments before the ceremony was set to begin, dark clouds rolled in, and the heavens opened up. Guests quickly scrambled to move chairs indoors, turning what was meant to be an outdoor celebration into an intimate indoor gathering.

Despite the last-minute change and the intense humidity, the atmosphere remained light and joyful. It was, without a doubt, the sweatiest wedding I have ever shot! The heat did not dampen spirits; instead, it brought everyone closer together. Laughter echoed through the venue as guests fanned themselves and shared stories, creating a warm and welcoming environment.

Just when it seemed like the rain would linger, the sun broke through the clouds, casting a warm glow over the venue. The stunning grounds at Sudbury House Hotel are wonderful, allowing Taysha and Neil to enjoy some time to themselves as we meandered through the flower beds, capturing the beauty of their love against the backdrop of a bright summer sky. The contrast of the earlier rain and the now-clear skies created a magical atmosphere that perfectly encapsulated their day.

A Day Full of Love, Laughter, and a Lot of Heat


Taysha and Neil's Oxfordshire wedding was a testament to their love and commitment to each other and their family. Despite the challenges of the day, their joy was palpable, and the memories created will last a lifetime. It was a beautiful reminder that love can shine through even the most unexpected circumstances. Here’s to Taysha and Neil, and to many more wonderful family adventures ahead!
